While normal cheap web hosting plans are very popular and useful, some webmasters require additional features and options on their cheap web hosting plans. These features vary in price and functionality, but generally all hosts offer at least one web hosting add-on. If you want to spice up your plan or make it just a little bit more useful, check out some of the popular additions available below:
Dedicated IP
A dedicated IP basically means that your site is seperate from all others. With a dedicated IP, visitors can access your website by going to an IP instead of a URL. While that doesn’t necessarily benefit anyone, it means that your site is viewed as an authority by both educated visitors, and more importantly, Google. See when Google sees that you have a dedicated IP, they look at only your sites to determine whether or not you’re a “good” webmaster or not. However, when you’re on a cheap web hosting plan, Google looks at all the sites on that server. That means that you are technically credited with the sites on the server. That may seem like a good thing to you, but chances are there is someone on your server who is hosting spam sites, or even malicious hacking sites. If Google notices these sites on the same IP as yours, they may penalize your sites, even if they are completely legitimate and clean.
Extra storage space
Extra storage space is a great addition to any plan. Whether you think so or not, you’re probably going to run out of room on your server eventually. So, adding extra space now will serve you in the future. Most hosts don’t publically advertise this feature, but almost all hosts offer it, so contact their support team if you want extra space.
